The Good Doctor Season 1 Episode 2 Review
If you were looking for changes, then The Good Doctor Season 2 Episode 17 was the episode you lot wanted.
Some of the changes on "Breakdown" were for the better, and some were for the worse. In all honesty, it was one of my favorite episodes of the series to appointment.
I am then proud of Shaun. When The Good Doctor debuted, Shaun was belittled by virtually of the staff members, and his opinion was non taken into consideration past well-nigh of the other workers.
He's been fighting a losing boxing to go on his job since the mean solar day he walked into the hospital. Along the way, he'south grown considerably, and standing up for himself in spite of the consequences proved that he's not the same man from The Good Doctor Season 1 Episode one.

His sparring with Dr. Han has been a bright spot since Daniel Dae Kim's debut. Dr. Han thinks he'south doing a practiced thing by having Shaun in pathology. I've been song in previous reviews that Shaun is probably improve suited to that field.
But there's been more than than one occasion now that Shaun's gotten hauled into the O.R. when the going gets tough. It proves that Shaun'due south abilities are more suited to being a surgeon than Han is giving him credit.
Claire: He's crashing. We need to get Tater in hither.
Han: We don't accept time.
Neil: I'm trying to save my patient's life. Tater has a special talent.
There are pros and cons to having Shaun away from the O.R., but if he'due south going to exist called in every other process to assist, and so maybe he should be in that location full-fourth dimension. Han's chief issue is the way Shaun addresses patients and their relatives.
He's worried Shaun says the incorrect affair because information technology's already happened. Shaun making his fashion into Han'southward function at the shut of the episode yelling nearly existence a surgeon was a assuming move and one that was poised to go terribly incorrect.
Shaun knew he ran the hazard of losing his task if he persisted, and information technology looks similar he did lose it. Han threatened him, but Shaun couldn't help just debate to get his point across. In an ideal globe, Shaun would remain in pathology while assisting with the cases of the calendar week in the O.R.

It'due south difficult to create a whole new title for someone, but given Shaun's abilities, information technology would be the best course of activeness. This is all assuming Shaun is allowed back in the hospital because information technology looks like he was either fired or resigned.
Shaun freaking out after the meeting with Han hit me right in the feels. He was at the end of his rope. He tried everything he could to get what he wanted and failed. Breaking the toy scalpel is non going to help him in the long run either.
Information technology was poignant that Claire was there to comfort him. She's been trying to help Shaun since the go-go, so I appreciated that it got revisited. Claire knows Shaun is an asset to the hospital and is non impressed with the fashion he is getting treated.
With Shaun likely away from the hospital and 1 episode left of The Good Md Flavour 2, it would non surprise me they staged a walkout until Shaun got his job back. Anybody aside from Morgan would join.
Speaking of Morgan. Afterwards slowly becoming a better character, she's falling off the rails again. One minute, the powers that be want us to beloved her, and the side by side they desire us to loathe her.
Her comments about creating the perfect surgical team rubbed me the incorrect fashion, and that's because Shaun is still assisting them here and in that location. If the roles got reversed, I'm sure Shaun would endeavour to assistance her in whatsoever fashion he could.
Morgan is likewise career-driven to focus on the personal ramifications her actions will have on those around her. She's all well-nigh trying further her career and doesn't requite a damn who she hurts in the procedure.
Dr. Lim turning on Laura was a surprise, but she went in a higher place and across before calling the cops on her friend. Lim worried she was burning a span while simultaneously taking a kid away from her mother for all the wrong reasons.
Mistakes happen, and I didn't look Laura to react the mode she did when Lim apologized. In that location was sticking the pocketknife in, and and then there was calling your friend a common cold-hearted bowwow.

While Laura didn't put it like that, that'south the gist of the conversation. The positive here is that it pushed Lim to commit to Melendez. A human relationship has been brewing betwixt them for a while now.
They've been hiding in the shadows, worrying virtually how their peers would react for too long, and I'm glad they're officially going public. Secret relationships rarely terminate well, and then this should requite them a push in the right direction.
I did roll my eyes when it looked like Shaun went straight to Dr. Han about seeing them together. Having the investigation being over at the expense of some fines was a great fashion to end that storyline.
Simply it also gave the states another reason why Dr. Han is not a nasty guy. If he were nasty, he would have allowed Shaun to take the fall and have a swift exit from the hospital.
Then at that place was Glassy. He was on the mend, only he still had a big hurdle ahead of him. Waiting those 48 hours to observe out if the handling was a success must have felt like waiting years.
It's no wonder he wanted the results expedited and lashed out in the eating place.
He was trying to occupy himself and was royally failing.
The proficient news is that we know he's winning the fight, for now, anyway. With the season finale coming upwards, it's possible that more heartache is on the horizon.
Okay, The Adept Md Fanatics!
What did you remember of Shaun'southward breakdown?
Is in that location a future for him at the hospital as a surgeon or some other function entirely?
Is Dr. Han punishing Shaun, or is he trying to utilize his skills in the best possible way?
